Project Executive

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Executive to join a well respected general contractor, to lead and oversee major water and wastewater treatment plant projects across Texas. Based in Houston, this senior leadership role will be responsible for driving project delivery excellence, managing client relationships, and ensuring operational and financial success across a portfolio of complex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership across multiple water/wastewater treatment plant projects throughout Texas
• Oversee full project lifecycle: planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients, utilities, and key stakeholders
• Lead, mentor, and develop project teams including Project Managers and Engineers
• Drive commercial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management
• Support business development efforts, including proposals, client presentations, and contract negotiations
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a strong focus on water/wastewater treatment facilities
• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects ($50M+)
• Strong understanding of Texas municipal water markets and regulatory environment
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
• Ability to travel across Texas as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent
• Experience with design-build and alternative delivery methods
• Established relationships with Texas municipalities and utilities

Salary

Up to $180,000 base slaary.
