Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and execution of electrical systems for a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, healthcare, higher education, and federal projects. This role requires strong expertise in power systems design, project leadership, client engagement, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The ideal candidate will oversee complex engineering projects while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, budgets, and schedules.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, higher education, and federal facilities

• Perform power systems analysis, calculations, and engineering studies to support project requirements

• Develop technical specifications, drawings, and design documentation in accordance with industry standards

• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, and related regulations

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining budget, schedule, and quality objectives

• Coordinate with architects, contractors, owners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project lifecycles

• Serve as a technical advisor and primary client-facing resource for electrical engineering matters

• Review and oversee engineering deliverables prepared by design team members

• Support proposal preparation, project pursuits, and business development initiatives

• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff within the organization


Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline

• Professional Engineer license required

• Ten to fifteen years of electrical engineering experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry

• Strong experience designing power systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, federal, or institutional projects

• Proven experience managing engineering projects, budgets, schedules, and resources

• Proficiency with electrical system modeling and analysis software such as SKM, ETAP, or similar platforms

• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations including NEC, IEEE, and NESC

• Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit for engineering design and documentation

• Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with lighting design and photometric analysis

• Exposure to telecommunications, audio visual, cybersecurity, or security systems design

• Project management experience or related certifications

• Knowledge of local Authority Having Jurisdiction requirements and permitting processes

• Active participation in professional engineering organizations or industry groups

This is a direct hire opportunity. The selected candidate will be employed directly by our client. All compensation and benefits, including but not limited to medical insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other perks, will be provided by the client in accordance with their internal policies and subject to applicable laws and eligibility requirements.


Pay Range: $120,000 – $170,000 per year (depending on experience)
