CNG Engineering is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical system design for public and institutional facilities. This role offers meaningful technical ownership, cross-disciplinary coordination, and the opportunity to guide project teams from concept through construction.
You’ll shape system approaches, support integrated MEP design, and contribute to the long‑term performance of facilities that serve communities across Texas.
What You’ll Lead
- Serve as the Engineer of Record for electrical systems
- Lead design of power, lighting, and low‑voltage systems
- Coordinate with architects, MEP teams, and external consultants
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to emerging engineers
- Conduct quality reviews and support project planning
- Support construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits

What You Bring
- PE license (or ability to obtain Texas PE)
- 10+ years of mechanical/HVAC/plumbing design experience in municipal/aviation, education, healthcare, or commercial sectors
- 7+ years of hands‑on MEP design experience
- 3+ years of project management experience
- 3+ years of supervisory or mentorship experience
- Experience leading teams and managing project phases
- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly to clients, architects, and internal teams
