Senior Cloud Engineer

Senior Cloud Engineer (Hybrid Contract), Austin, TX. Must be local to Austin. Anyone else will be rejected.

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer for a long-term hybrid contract supporting our Austin, Texas client's Cloud Infrastructure Architecture. This role is responsible for designing, administering, and optimizing cloud and identity services, with a strong focus on Azure and Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly collaborative, and experienced in enterprise migration and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and support enterprise cloud infrastructure architecture and system integrations.
• Administer and optimize Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments.
• Implement and maintain identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including AD/ADFS.
• Plan and execute cloud and platform migrations using established tooling and best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to operational excellence through documentation, standards, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of verifiable experience in systems design and cloud infrastructure architecture.
• 2+ years (within the past 6 years) administering Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure cloud environments.
• Extensive experience with Active Directory (AD/ADFS) and Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with migration tools (e.g., Quest, Metalogix) and automation platforms such as Azure DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications such as:
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
• Experience leading or coordinating cross-functional engineering teams (Cloud, Networking, Infrastructure).
• Experience with security tools such as Proofpoint (email encryption) and Barracuda Cloud.
