Senior Buyer

We are seeking a strategic Buyer/Purchasing Manager to join the finance team of a manufacturing company in Brockton, MA. This role is responsible for overseeing procurement processes and purchasing teams, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships for cost-effective purchasing of goods and services. This role is accountable for the timely purchasing of materials for the Brockton facility, in addition to other sites as needed. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 5+ years of experience in Purchasing, demonstrating career progression
• Experience within a high-volume/fast-paced environment
• ERP Systems proficiency

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement purchasing strategies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
• Negotiating contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing
• Manage and develop procurement teams
• Collaborate with other departments to understand procurement needs and align purchasing activities with organizational goals.
• Lead the development of appropriate ERP system processes, controls and data to utilize Epicor Materials Resource and Planning (MRP) effectively.
• Process, review and approve purchase order requests to meet material demands for each location.
• Review customer specifications to ensure appropriate parts and components are ordered timely and cost effectively.
• Assist in developing appropriate cycle counting processes for raw materials and researching and resolving inventory discrepancies.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to negotiate contracts and pricing effectively.
• Proficient in analyzing market trends and supplier performance to make informed decisions.
• Experience in managing a team and leading procurement initiatives
• Strong system skills with the ability to navigate procurement processes and data within ERP system.
