Position Overview:

The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across GEO PSI's portfolio of downhole monitoring and diagnostic technologies. This individual will serve as a strategic advisor to operators, helping customers leverage real-time downhole intelligence to improve drilling, completions, production, and reservoir management decisions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in oilfield technology sales, specifically related to:

  • Permanent downhole gauges
  • Quartz pressure and temperature gauges
  • Fiber optic monitoring systems (DAS, DTS, DSS)
  • Reservoir surveillance technologies
  • Production optimization solutions
  • Well integrity monitoring
  • Microseismic and fracture diagnostics

This role requires an individual with established industry relationships, strong commercial acumen, and a proven ability to develop opportunities from initial engagement through contract execution.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth across GEO PSI's technology portfolio.
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities within operators, service companies, and strategic partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including:
  • Reservoir Engineers
  • Production Engineers
  • Completions Engineers
  • Well Integrity Teams

  • Operations Leadership
  • Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, customer visits, industry events, and referrals.
  • Lead customer presentations, technical workshops, and solution-based sales engagements.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.

Market Development

  • Evaluate market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the energy sector.
  • Identify growth opportunities in:
  • Unconventional resource plays
  • Enhanced oil recovery projects
  • Geothermal developments
  • Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS)
  • Hydrogen storage applications
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to support market expansion initiatives.

Customer Engagement

  • Act as the primary commercial interface between GEO PSI and customers.
  • Understand customer challenges and align GEO PSI solutions to deliver measurable value.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
  • Support project execution teams to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and product development teams.
  • Provide market feedback to support future product innovation.
  • Assist in developing sales tools, marketing materials, and customer success stories.
  • Support trade shows, conferences, technical seminars, and industry events.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geoscience, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of oilfield technology sales and business development experience.
  • Demonstrated success selling downhole monitoring technologies.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Quartz gauges
  • Permanent monitoring systems
  • Fiber optic sensing technologies (DAS/DTS/DSS)
  • Production optimization workflows
  • Reservoir surveillance applications
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Established relationships with major operators across North America.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Schedule: Monday to Friday


Work Location: Remote (Travel Required)

This role is primarily remote, with occasionally field visits as needed.
