Senior Litigation Attorney – Family Law (Oregon)

As a Senior Litigation Attorney, you will serve as lead counsel in contested family law cases, including divorce, custody, parenting time disputes, support matters, modifications, enforcement actions, relocations, and other complex, high-conflict proceedings. You will maintain substantial ownership of your cases while collaborating closely with partners, associates, and legal support staff to deliver exceptional client service and results.

Role Overview

This senior-level attorney position is responsible for leading litigation strategy and handling court appearances across a broad range of complex family law matters. The attorney will serve as a key advocate for the firm and its clients, managing cases through all stages of litigation with professionalism, strategic judgment, and strong courtroom presence.

The ideal candidate is an experienced litigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, exercises sound legal and tactical judgment, and demonstrates exceptional preparation and advocacy throughout the litigation process.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing law, with substantial litigation experience required
  • Family law litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Admitted and in good standing with the Oregon State Bar
  • Strong courtroom advocacy skills, including experience handling contested hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex and high-conflict cases from inception through resolution
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and case management abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage a demanding caseload while maintaining attention to detail
  • Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented
  • Calm, confident, and professional under pressure
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and collaborate effectively with attorneys and support staff

Compensation & Job Type:

  • $120,000 - $200,000 total compensation per year
  • Full Time
  • The exact salary within the specified range will depend on experience and skill level, with additional monthly bonus opportunities available
