Senior Associate

On Call Counsel

A leading international law firm is seeking a senior-level associate to join its Corporate M&A and Securities practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with 5–7 years of experience focused on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions.


The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of acquisition agreements and the full suite of documentation used in M&A and private equity transactions, along with demonstrated proficiency in drafting and negotiating such documents. Experience supporting private equity sponsors and portfolio companies across the full investment lifecycle—including platform acquisitions, add-on transactions, governance matters, and exits—is highly preferred. Familiarity with middle-market deal structures is also strongly desired.


Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to effectively manage both internal and external client relationships. Excellent academic credentials are required, and experience at a large national or international law firm is preferred.

Qualifications:


  • 5–7 years of relevant M&A/private equity experience
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Licensed or eligible to become licensed in the applicable jurisdiction
  • Must reside in the designated jurisdiction prior to or at the time of hire


Work Arrangement:

Hybrid schedule with an expectation of at least three in-office days per week


Location:

Multiple U.S. office locations available (specific office details withheld)


Compensation:

  • Salary range: $365,000 – $420,000 annually (applicable to certain jurisdictions)
  • Actual compensation will depend on experience and qualifications
  • Bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits package included
