JOB SUMMARY: Perform financial activities for the corporate entities, including but notlimited to banking transactions, commission processing, and accounting responsibilities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for accounting functions including but not limited to accounts payable and accounts receivable for the corporate entities.
  • Lead the commission process by maintaining accounting system to enable staff to prepare monthly commission runs (Sold Group Forms and GEN4.)
  • Direct and help staff with the processing of monthly carrier commission statements, including fully insured and ancillary products, and proper payments to brokers.
  • Prepare annual 1099 forms for all corporate entities and consortiums.
  • Assist Supervisor with initial and ongoing training for the corporate Accounting Specialist(s) and Finance & Administrative Specialist(s).
  • Act as the liaison regarding corporate accounting functions for administrative services
  • (COBRA, CDH).
  • Respond to supervisor when requested with accurate and timely work to facilitate his or her work assignments.

Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must be able to sit or stand and type utilizing computer for up to 75% of the workday.
  2. May be requested to assist with the lifting of document storage boxes on an occasional basis.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or similar field preferred.
  2. A minimum of 3 years experience in Finance or Accounting required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. General knowledge of accounting principles and practices required.
  2. Attention to detail and accuracy required.
  3. Specific knowledge of NetSuite software preferred.
  4. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees, and the general public required.
  5. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office products required.
  6. Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written format required.
