Instructional Designer

ektello
San Francisco, CA

ektello is partnering with a global apparel retail leader to find an Instructional Designer that can own OCM execution across two concurrent Oracle Finance platform implementations — Freeform (FP&A reporting) and Oracle ARCS (account reconciliation).

This is a fully remote, W2 contract supporting PST hours. Looking for hands-on, production-focused role reporting to the GTS OCM Director, working alongside a Senior Change Manager who owns strategy, stakeholder relationships, and change methodology. The Specialist owns the content engine: every communication that reaches Finance stakeholders, every training material a super user delivers, every video walkthrough, every SharePoint page, and every forum deck.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Instructional Design, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, corporate communications, training content development, or change management content production in an enterprise environment.
  • Direct experience creating communications or training content for Finance, accounting, or FP&A audiences. Must be familiar with Finance workflows, close cycles, and reporting rhythms well enough to produce credible, audience-appropriate content without heavy coaching.
  • Strong instructional design skills — able to translate complex system and process changes into clear, structured learning experiences. Comfortable designing curriculum, writing learning objectives, and building role-based training paths.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with a strong eye for design and visual presentation. Able to produce polished, executive-ready content independently without design support. Portfolio or work samples required.
  • Meticulous attention to detail — in content accuracy, formatting consistency, data presentation, and brand compliance. Finance audiences notice errors; this role cannot afford them.
  • Fluency in SharePoint (site design, content management, permissions), Microsoft Stream/Clipchamp (video scripting, recording, editing, publishing), and PowerPoint (executive-quality presentations, training decks, visual communications). These are daily-use production tools.
