Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, analysis, and compliance while ensuring the integrity of our financial data. This position requires strong analytical skills, technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment.



Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare for complete accounting cycle, including opening, posting entries to general ledger and month-end closing.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal monthly and quarterly financial statements including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, equity roll forward, and statement of cash flows.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in transactional entries; reviews and documents monthly financial reports of cost centers assigned.
  • Perform complex analysis and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Calculate and record lease accounting entries, accruals, and allocations.
  • Track fixed assets from purchase to disposition. Calculate depreciation monthly.
  • Assists with the external audit schedules.
  • Duties require broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex accounting issues.
  • Supports treasury, tax, accounts receivable, accounts payable functions as necessary
  • Oversee and maintain prepaid account schedules and recognize expenses timely.
  • Ad hoc reporting as needed.



Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a must, CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum five years of full cycle GL experience.
  • Previous retail industry experience preferred, and strong understanding of inventory is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in NetSuite and current versions of Microsoft Excel required. Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in a SOX environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be analytical and detail oriented and possess excellent documentation skills.
  • Expected to serve as a resource to others for knowledge transfer, training and checking work. - May occasionally lead a special project or team.
  • Ability to interact effectively with various levels of staff and management across departments.
  • Strong attention to detail, as well as demonstrated problem-solving and independent decision-making capabilities.
  • Exceptional organization, time-management, and prioritization skills, as well as on-the-job flexibility and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
