Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. This role works closely with cross-functional teams, leadership, and external auditors to maintain compliance with accounting standards and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
• Mentor and review work performed by junior accounting staff, as applicable
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to resolve accounting-related issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA designation preferred but not required
• 2–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience in public accounting or a combination of public and industry experience
• Exposure to audit, technical accounting, or regulatory reporting
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team
