Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Property Accountant to join our growing commercial real estate team in the Northwest Arkansas region. This role is ideal for an experienced property accountant ready to take the next step into a senior-level position, with increased ownership, visibility, and impact across a diverse portfolio of industrial and commercial assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial and/or industrial properties
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform account reconciliations, variance analysis, and budget-to-actual comparisons
- Oversee CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, and lease abstraction accuracy
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and year-end audit processes
- Collaborate with property management and asset management teams to support operational decisions
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
Qualifications:
- 3–4+ years of experience in property accounting, preferably within commercial or industrial real estate
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and Yardi or similar systems
- Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting and financial reporting
- Experience with CAM reconciliations and lease structures (NNN, gross, modified gross, etc.)
- Proficiency in accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, or similar) and Excel
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Preferred (but not required):
- CPA or CPA-track
- Experience working with industrial portfolios or multi-entity structures
