About the Role – Public Areas Pool Attendant (Seasonal/Part Time)

The Public Areas Pool Attendant is responsible for monitoring pool activities, maintaining a clean and safe pool environment, and ensuring guests have a positive and enjoyable experience while using the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Assistance:

• Greeting guests as they arrive at the pool area andprovidinginformation about pool hours, amenities, services and policies.

• Assisting guests with setting up lounge chairs, umbrellas, or other poolside amenities.

• Providing towels and other necessities to guests upon request.

• Responding to guest inquiries and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.

1. Cleaning and Organization:

• Ensuring that poolside furniture, umbrellas, cabanas and other amenities are arranged neatly and in good condition.
• Monitoring and maintaining inventory of pool supplies such as towels, pool games, and pool toys.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of pool deck including the pool restrooms. Ensuring pool area is clear of soiled towels, trash, debris and glassware
• Reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate department.

1. Teamwork and Communication:

• Collaborating with other hotel staff members, including maintenance personnel, and front desk staff to ensure smooth operation of the pool area.

• Communicating effectively with guests and colleagues to provide a positive experience for all.

This is a seasonal role with an expected start date in May and concludes in September 2026.

Wage Information:

The hourly rate for this position is $23.50/hr. This is the pay rate for this position that Hyatt Regency La Jolla reasonably expects to pay.
