As a Scrum Master, you serve a critical role on an agile team: you enable a team's nimbleness and successful delivery of customer-centric solutions by actively coaching growth of the members' agile skills and mindset.  You serve as a leader for your team by ensuring clear communication and helping the team reach its goal. This role coaches the team and its partners in agility best practices in order to focus on value, while guiding continuous improvement of their team. You also facilitate team productivity by identifying and assisting to remove impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's goals. 
 
The Scrum Master filling this role should have proven experience in change management and not be afraid to raise issues and influence change while being comfortable with situations of ambiguity, conflict, and uncertainty. Your contributions in this role will be an important element of our agile development and delivery practice, helping realize our vision to continuously improve the way we work.
 
Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing and evolving Scaled Agile portfolios of the highest complexity. 
• Facilitates the scrum process on scrum teams with significant cross-functional impacts involving project, non-project, or maintenance work. Guides the scrum team(s) and organization to follow generally accepted Agile/Scrum practices and daily activities to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint. 
• Uses empirical data to help the team(s) assess their Scrum Maturity , optimize scrum team velocity to organizational KPIs, and identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance.
• Proactively addresses systemic impediments to team agility and guides the team(s) on methods to escalate when needed to prevent challenges from becoming blockers.
• Coaches scrum team(s) to deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met.
• Partners with discipline managers to convey their concerns to scrum teams about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards. Partners with Product Owner(s) to ensure continuous refinement of backlog, which may include stories from multiple projects. 
• Completion of some work may depend on non-agile work teams. Facilitates Scrum of Scrums. May train other Scrum Masters and serve as a mentor to less experienced team members. Drives Scrum adoption across all levels in the organization. 
• Facilitates and is accountable for owning the Scrum and/or Scaled Agile ceremonies for the scrum team(s). 
• Partners with Product Owners, Program or Project Managers to communicate delivery of work product from the scrum team(s) and escalates key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness. 
• Identifies skills & competencies of scrum team members & makes adjustments accordingly to promote development and highly effective teams.

• 6+ years of experience as a practicing Scrum Master

• Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
• Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
• Knowledge and understanding of technology software: release management
• Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development
• Experience using the team collaboration software Confluence
• 8+ years business experience in a matrixed management environment (e.g. product development, project management, implementation)
• Experience of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) experience or exposure to any other scaling principles
• Agile Scrum (CSM), SAFE certifications or other advanced Agile certifications
• Knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
• Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
• Experience moving teams and organizations from Waterfall to Agile methodologies and Agile Transformations
• Knowledge and understanding of Agile operational metrics such as: Velocity, Predictability, Sprint burn-downs, and etc.
• Experience serving as a Scrum Master for multiple teams simultaneously

• 6 years of experience as a practicing Scrum Master 
• Emotionally intelligent, engaged, responsible, organized, self-disciplined, self-motivated, able to work with little or no supervision
• Ability to identify and use empirical data to identify areas of improvement 
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
• Experienced with writing effective user stories and acceptance criteria
• Knowledge of patterns and practices for facilitation of agile teams 
• Experienced team building skills working with various-sized, distributed or co-located teams 
• Ability serve multiple teams with low to moderately complex deliverables
• Good  presentation, influencing and, relationship management skills 
• Able to identify and clearly communicate the impact of project risks to timeline and scope to key business stakeholders and multiple levels of leadership
• Knowledge and understanding of consumer lending technology
• Hands on technical engineering experience is a plus
• Awareness to JAVA/microservices, Cloud technology is desired
