Job Title: Senior SAP IS-U Billing Consultant

Location: Columbus, OH (Travel Required)

Duration: Through April 2027

Overview:

Seeking a hands-on Senior SAP IS-U Billing Consultant to support a large-scale transformation for a regulated public utility. This role spans design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing regulatory support. Ideal for someone who can lead billing design, own rate architecture, and work closely with business stakeholders.

Travel:

• 2 weeks/month (Tue–Thurs) Feb–Sep
• Then ~1 week/month through April 2027
• Travel reimbursed

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead IS-U Billing design and configuration
• Translate tariffs into billing schemas, operands, and rate steps
• Support TOU, demand, and multi-register billing
• Facilitate workshops, Fit/Gap sessions, and stakeholder discussions
• Produce functional design documentation
• Support testing (SIT/UAT), deployment, and post-go-live stabilization
• Assist with FI-CA integration and ongoing regulatory updates

Required Experience:

• 6+ years SAP IS-U Billing (BI) in utilities
• Strong hands-on configuration (not advisory only)
• Full lifecycle project experience (design → go-live)
• Deep knowledge of utility billing and rate design
• Experience working with business/regulatory teams

Key Skills:

• Rate categories/types, operands, rate steps
• Billing schema & price key configuration
• TOU, demand, multi-register billing
• Proration, billing adjustments, rebills
• BAdIs and integration with FI-CA

Must Be Able to Support Scenarios:

• Meter exchanges mid-cycle
• TOU data gaps
• Demand reset logic
• Net generation credits
• Cancel/rebill, reversals, refunds
• Budget billing true-ups
