Shift: 5:30am - 2:00pm, Monday - Friday

Job Description

The Finisher works in the finishing department with a primary focus on sanding and polishing small aerospace components such as control panels, switch panels, and cockpit-focused circuit boards. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong hand-eye coordination, and consistent adherence to safety and quality standards in a regulated production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Sand, grind, and polish small parts to meet precise finishing specifications for aerospace components.
  • Operate sanding, grinding, and polishing tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect parts visually and by touch to ensure a high-quality finish and adherence to production standards.
  • Handle tiny parts with care, using strong hand dexterity and good eyesight to avoid damage or defects.
  • Accurately complete all related paperwork and documentation, including scanning functions for tracking and traceability.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines while working with finishing tools and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in the finishing department to support efficient production flow.
  • Collaborate with production team members to meet daily output and quality goals.
  • React to changes in production priorities productively and handle other duties as required by the finishing and production teams.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with sanding and finishing processes in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to perform detailed sanding, grinding, and polishing work on small parts.
  • Good eyesight and strong hand dexterity for handling tiny components and performing precise finishing work.
  • Familiarity with using grinders, sanders, and related finishing tools and equipment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic ability to complete production paperwork and use scanning systems accurately.
  • Capability to work safely in a regulated aerospace production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with aerospace parts, control panels, switch panels, or circuit boards.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing or production setting.
  • Comfort working with laser or precision finishing equipment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production needs and take on additional duties as required.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills within a production environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
