Job Title: Salesforce QA Test Lead
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Job Type: Contract, 12+ months
Pay Rate Range: $61.50-$71.50 (W2), depending on experience
Interview Mode: 1-2 rounds, first round will either be onsite or via MS Teams (one onsite interview round is strictly required)
Position Overview: Our Fortune 500 utility client is seeking an experienced Salesforce QA Test Lead to support enterprise Salesforce initiatives within the Customer Engagement Capital Portfolio. This role will lead testing activities across Salesforce platforms, including Salesforce Energy & Utility Cloud, Experience Cloud, and the core Salesforce platform.
The Test Lead will drive testing strategy and execution across complex enterprise projects, ensuring that Salesforce solutions are delivered with high quality and aligned with business requirements. This position works closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and QA teams to coordinate testing activities across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in Salesforce environments, enterprise QA leadership, test strategy development, and cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Test Leadership & Strategy
- Lead testing efforts across enterprise Salesforce implementations throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Develop testing strategies, test plans, and testing goals aligned with project objectives.
- Design and oversee test scenarios covering functional, usability, regression, integration, performance, UAT, and unit testing.
- Validate requirements for completeness and testability.
Test Execution & Quality Assurance
- Design and develop test cases and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
- Execute manual test cases and develop automated test scripts where appropriate.
- Monitor test progress and prepare test execution reports and regression reports.
- Identify, log, track, and manage defects and issues throughout the testing lifecycle.
Defect Management & Reporting
- Manage the defect triage process, coordinating assignments and resolutions with development teams.
- Lead daily defect meetings and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Review and validate defect reports and test results from QA team members.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and defect metrics to stakeholders.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate meetings with project teams, stakeholders, and business partners throughout the testing process.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Test Leads, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing activities.
- Educate project teams and stakeholders on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes.
- Coordinate testing documentation and ensure completion of testing deliverables.
Process Governance & Documentation
- Maintain Test Traceability Matrix (TTM) linking test procedures to requirements.
- Coordinate project intake and close-out processes, including lessons learned and documentation sign-off.
- Support Integrated Change Control processes for change requests during testing phases.
- Prepare daily and weekly defect metrics reports and testing status reports.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide guidance and mentoring to QA team members.
- Promote best practices in test automation, quality assurance, and testing methodologies.
- Stay current with modern testing tools, frameworks, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience leading enterprise testing initiatives within Salesforce environments.
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Experience developing and executing test strategies, test cases, and automated scripts.
- Proven experience with defect management, test reporting, and QA governance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
