Job Description

Perform highly advanced managerial tasks related to QA and testing activities, as well as analysis and testing tasks associated with software development and configuration.

Responsibilities include:

Manage activities across all phases of the software development life cycle, including analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving reported software issues and troubleshooting system problems for internal and external stakeholders.

Define and review the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy for modernization and system implementation projects, including providing guidance to teams during early UAT phases and aligning resources and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for review and testing activities.

Coordinate sprint review feedback with development/vendor teams and business SMEs.

Review test cases provided by development teams with SMEs and recommend updates or improvements.

Collaborate with business users and SMEs to create and update test cases, execute testing activities, and provide detailed test results and reports (e.g., pass/fail results, defects, issues, and concerns).

Serve as the primary point of contact between IT teams, business stakeholders, and development/vendor partners.

Lead defect triage efforts and oversee the tracking, prioritization, and management of defects.

Analyze defects for trends and themes, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend process improvements.

Provide and review regular updates on UAT progress and testing results.

Deliver testing-related project status updates, including defect progress and requirement traceability and test coverage.

Ensure UAT exit criteria are met and facilitate final business sign-off.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Years Required / Preferred Experience
7 Required Oversee user acceptance, performance, accessibility, interface, security, and data conversion testing
7 Required Manage, perform, monitor, and report on testing activities across modern technology platforms
7 Required Review, update, and create testing strategies, test suites, and test cases
7 Required Document and report test results, data conversion and integration issues, and defect/problem incident status
7 Required Train and mentor QA/testing team members
7 Required Coordinate scheduling of testing staff, testing activities, and meetings
7 Required Experience with test tools such as Jira, TestSavvy, JUnit, Selenium, Micro Focus UFT, SQL, or similar tools
7 Required Strong understanding of the full software development life cycle with emphasis on testing disciplines; experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments
7 Required Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
4 Required Experience with performance monitoring tools such as JProfiler, JMeter, or similar
4 Preferred Experience working with Salesforce
4 Preferred Experience working in a government or public sector environment in a QA/Test Manager capacity
4 Preferred Experience serving as a team leader or project manager
