The Opportunity

The Sales Account Manager at Island Networks is responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic customer engagement, solution selling, and long-term relationship management. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and closing opportunities across infrastructure, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, platform engineering, and staff augmentation.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales professional with strong enterprise and commercial account management experience, proven prospecting skills, and the ability to align business outcomes with innovative technology solutions. This individual will work collaboratively with engineering, alliances, marketing, and leadership teams to expand Island Networks’ presence and deliver measurable customer value.

Job Description & Duties


Revenue Growth & Account Management:

• Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue within assigned territory.

• Identify and close new business opportunities across infrastructure, cloud, AI, security, networking, storage, and professional services offerings.

• Maintain and expand relationships with key customer stakeholders including IT leadership, procurement, operations, and executive management.

• Drive both net-new logo acquisition and expansion within existing customer accounts.



Solution Selling & Customer Engagement:

• Lead consultative sales engagements focused on solving customer business challenges through technology transformation.

• Position Island Networks’ capabilities around:

• AI and automation solutions

• Platform engineering

• Hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments

• Cybersecurity and resiliency

• Data center modernization

• Staff Augmentation

• Coordinate technical discovery sessions and collaborate with engineering teams to develop customer solutions and proposals.

• Present solutions, business value, ROI, and strategic roadmaps to customer executives and decision makers.


Pipeline & Forecast Management:

• Maintain an accurate and active sales pipeline within HubSpot CRM.

• Provide weekly forecasting updates and pipeline progression details to sales leadership.

• Develop and execute prospecting plans to generate consistent pipeline growth.



Partner & Vendor Collaboration:

• Work closely with strategic vendor partners, distributors, and alliance teams to develop customer opportunities and drive pipeline.

• Leverage vendor programs, partner resources, and joint go-to-market initiatives to accelerate opportunities and grow pipeline.

• Participate in vendor partners conferences, trade shows, and internal marketing events.


Customer Success & Relationship Development:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through responsiveness, communication, and solution alignment.

• Identify opportunities for ongoing services, renewals, upgrades, and strategic expansion.

• Foster trusted advisor relationships that position Island Networks as a long-term strategic partner.



Required Education, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, or a related field.

• Proven track record of success in a sales role within the IT industry.

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business segments.

• Strong understanding of the IT infrastructure market, cloud technologies, and emerging industry trends.
