Job Title: Rough Carpenter – Commercial Construction

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Rough Carpenters to support ground-up construction on a large-scale K-12 school project in Colorado. This role will focus on rough carpentry work in coordination with site supervision and other trades.

Responsibilities

  • Build, install, and maintain temporary railings, stairs, and fall-protection systems.
  • Construct and install parapets, blocking, backing, and embeds according to plans and field direction.
  • Install wood and metal framing, sheathing, and miscellaneous carpentry components.
  • Build and strip concrete forms and assist with pours as needed.
  • Read and interpret drawings, dimensions, and layout plans.
  • Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, and other trades to maintain schedule.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of rough carpentry experience preferred.
  • Experience on commercial or K-12 projects is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read basic plans and layout work.
  • Proficient use of hand and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with temporary structures, railings, and stair systems required.
  • Commercial construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • Willingness to work overtime or Saturdays as project needs arise.
  • Must have own hand tools.

Work Environment

The project is located in Colorado and involves the construction of a new high school. The project is expected to run through December 2026, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. The role requires the ability to perform physical labor and work safely in a construction environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Frederick, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
