With offices throughout San Diego County, our doctors specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology. Some locations also provide rheumatology and orthopedics care. When further specialty care is needed, you have access to an extensive network of medical experts throughout the region. Scripps also provides health education resources, including weight management programs, nutrition and fitness classes, and programs for chronic conditions, such as diabetes.

With our commitment to quality patient care, we invite you to join our highly engaged Care team. Join Scripps as RN Specialized Services within Minor Surgery you will be working together, you’ll bring your expertise, compassion and excellence to all we do. Within this role you will:

• Support endoscopy with conscious sedation
• Assist in minor procedures
• Support skin clinic at Cedar, which is AAAHC accredited to maintain AB595 certification.
• Conduct telephone interactions and educate patients
• Work with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department/specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required:

• Minimum one (1) year experience as an RN
• Current California RN License
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS
• Requires ability to assess, reassure, empathize, and educate patients
• Must be able to multi-task and remain calm and professional during hectic times.
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred:

• Prior experience within a clinic or Ambulatory setting
• BSN
• endoscopy or bronchoscopy experience
