We’re looking for aRevenue Management Consultantto join ourDebt Recovery Division!

This position is responsible for developing and managing a system for handling collections.

Six years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus three years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting; OR

A bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting; OR

An advanced degree or Juris Doctorate plus two years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting; OR

Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or a current Louisiana license to practice law plus one year of experience in accounting, financial auditing, tax administration, tax policy or law, management analysis, or administrative services in a financial setting.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be foundhere.

Job Duties:

In this role, you will:

  • Develop procedures for work unit, assign work and provide business guidance as the Office's subject matter expert to staff members in resolving discrepancies on collection issues.
  • Devise, implement, and track processes for the handling of collection and functioning tools.
  • Issue bills, warrants, and/or liens in order to collect debts owed; release such measures once debts are collected.
  • Provide business expertise for creating data views of agency data for other departments and/or organizational entities to share information.

Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

A Tax and Natural Disaster Clearance will be conducted on all selected applicants to validate the timely submission of tax returns and payments. It is a requirement that all Revenue employees must adhere to all tax laws of the State of Louisiana.
