Overview

As an Entry-Level Reliability Engineer, you will be hands-on in servicing, maintaining, and supporting critical mechanical equipment such as conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors, and hydraulics. You'll work closely with production teams and vendors, diagnosing mechanical failures, executing preventative maintenance, and supporting installation and commissioning activities. This role offers meaningful experience in industrial maintenance with opportunities to grow technical knowledge in a collaborative and safety-focused environment.

Required Skills

  • 0-3 years of hands-on mechanical or maintenance experience in manufacturing or automation settings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude: bearing replacement, gearbox inspection, belt/chain tensioning, motor alignment, hydraulic and pneumatic servicing
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and use diagnostic tools (torque wrenches, laser alignment, vibration meters, infrared thermography)
  • Competence with basic electrical troubleshooting (motor starters, wiring checks)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work in shifts, overtime, and participate in on-call rotations

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with SolidWorks CAD software (viewing, creating, or editing drawings)
  • Basic familiarity with PLC/HMI controls troubleshooting (programming not required)
  • Use of condition monitoring tools like vibration analysis and thermography
  • Certifications such as forklift, aerial lift, or rigging
  • OSHA 10/30 safety training

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Technical training, certifications, military experience, or relevant on-the-job experience in mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting
  • Exposure to industrial or manufacturing environments preferred

Other Requirements

  • Ability to climb ladders, work in elevated spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 60 lbs
  • Willingness to follow all safety protocols including PPE, LOTO, and confined space procedures
