What you’ll be doing

• Drive compliance with safety standards, engineering procedures, and site expectations

• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5 Why investigations, and corrective actions

• Identify equipment bad actors and implement reliability improvement plans

• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve MTBF and uptime

• Maintain KPIs, monthly reliability reports, and equipment health models

• Lead capital and expense projects including scope, design, bids, budgeting, and execution

• Coordinate contractors, schedules, JSA reviews, and field execution activities

• Support turnaround and outage planning activities

• Serve as Management of Change (MOC) initiator when required

• Evaluate repair/replace decisions using cost, risk, and performance data

• Support spare parts optimization and SAP maintenance strategies

• Partner daily with Operations, Process Engineers, and Asset Support teams

• Support commissioning and startup of new or modified equipment


What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

• 2+ years of refinery, chemical plant, or manufacturing experience preferred

• Experience managing capital and expense projects

• Strong knowledge of reliability tools such as FMEA, RCFA, MTBF, and RCA

• Experience with SAP or CMMS systems

• Understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance practices

• Knowledge of industry codes and standards (API, NFPA, ANSI preferred)

• Basic knowledge of PHA processes, pressure relief systems, and SIS

• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results
