SUMMARY:
Directly responsible for facilitating the activities of the regional healthcare coalition in a ten-county area of southwest Idaho. The coalition is made up of representatives from hospitals, EMS, county emergency management, public health agencies, and other key stakeholders.
The purpose of the coalition is to develop healthcare system emergency response capabilities. The coordinator will ensure the effective accomplishment of grant deliverables and expenditure of funds through the Coalition activities. This role is strongly linked to community involvement and functions in a leadership role in emergency management activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required. Higher degree preferred (preferably in healthcare, emergency management, or related field).
Five or more years of experience in healthcare, emergency management, or related field.
Experience with grant management processes required, including experience managing grant deliverables and budget
Experience coordinating multi-agency projects.
Experience with and / or training completed in healthcare emergency preparedness, including Incident Command System, CMS, and related criteria preferred.
Completion of relevant Incident Command System and related training within six months of hire.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
Supports Incident Command System implementation in regional agencies.
Collaborates with regional agencies in the development, education, training, and implementation of emergency operations plans.
Facilitates training, tabletop exercises, and other related activities.
Acts as a liaison for local and state partner agencies and assists agency staff in preparing responses to events.
Supports regional agency responses on behalf of the Coalition, as needed. Response activities may occur outside of normal business hours (i.e., evenings and weekends).
Manages the regional healthcare coalition budget.
Ensures successful completion of the regional healthcare coalition annual deliverables and prepares related reporting documentation.
Ability to articulate complex concepts both orally and in writing. This may include various public speaking activities.
Analytical skills necessary in order to evaluate and make recommendations regarding emergency
