The City of Surprise Parks & Recreation Department is looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Aquatics professional to support daily pool operations and help ensure a safe, well-run environment for our community. SUMMARY
Incumbents assist with the planning, implementation and coordination of a wide variety of recreation activities and programs and community special events. Responsibilities include supervising facilities or specific programs or activities, customer service, problem-solving, routine day-to-day operations and reports, scheduling entertainment, setting up events/programs, inventory, and rule adjudication. Incumbents may be assigned as cashier to receive checks and cash, process payments, and procure supplies and services. Incumbents oversee part-time staff and volunteers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED, and one year of related recreation experience. Additional education cannot be substituted for the required experience.
CERTIFICATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
