We’re hiring a Real Estate Paralegal to work full-time in Manchester, NH, for a New England- based law firm. As the hybrid real estate paralegal, you’ll manage the day-to-day administrative needs to support, manage, and facilitate the legal team workflows so everything runs smoothly. Job Description
- Prepare legal descriptions and title insurance commitments, correspondence, memoranda, and project work in the daily production of legal documents
- Research registries for real estate background and history
- Conduct title searches and prepare title abstracts
- Obtain real estate tax information
- Draft closing documents and create the closing binders
- Edit and finalize documents and distributes to clients, attorneys, and team
- Proofread and redline documents, correspondence, and memoranda to ensure accuracy of copy, grammar, punctuation, and syntax
- Maintain calendar of closing deadlines and meetings
- Coordinate conference calls, Zoom meetings, interoffice and outside meetings
- Perform a variety of paralegal functions, including opening of new matters, conflict checks, proforma, and billing activities
- Identify, prioritize, and resolve problems of a varying nature with minimal direction provided
- Flexibility to assist with and work on a wide variety of assignments and projects
- Work closely with assigned professionals to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, schedule changes, and preparation needed for meetings, following up appropriately and anticipating needs
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Paralegal certificate a plus
- 3+ years of previous experience in real estate and commercial law
- Superior people/interpersonal skills
- Ambitious, enthusiastic, positive can-do attitude and polished professional demeanor; a healthy sense of humor is a plus.
- Tenacious in meeting deadlines with a strong sense of timeliness, decision-making, and good self-management discipline
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 365; ability to work effectively within the firm’s document management, real estate, and billing applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Clearly communicate and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and with clients
- Work discretely with confidential information
- Must be proactive, accountable and have excellent judgment
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment while making few errors
- Must be adaptable to change and remain calm under pressure
- Billable goal target is 1400 hours annually
