A prominent and growing law firm in the East Bay is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its real estate litigation practice. The firm represents a diverse client base in complex, multi‑party real estate disputes and offers a collaborative environment for attorneys looking to build a long‑term career. This role involves handling a broad range of real estate litigation matters, including construction‑related disputes, contract claims, enforcement actions, and defense of civil actions. Attorneys work closely with a litigation team and support cases from inception through resolution.
Responsibilities
- Handle complex real estate litigation matters from pre‑litigation through trial or arbitration
- Conduct written discovery and oversee responses
- Take and defend percipient and expert depositions
- Draft and argue motions, including law and motion practice
- Assist with and second‑chair trials, arbitrations, and mediations
- Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with senior attorneys
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
- Advise clients on case strategy, risk assessment, and dispute resolution
- Manage case deadlines, filings, and ongoing communications
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and paralegals as part of a litigation team
Qualifications
- 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in real estate or related civil litigation matters
- Strong deposition and law and motion experience
- Trial or arbitration experience is a plus, but not required
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and verbal advocacy skills
- Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating within a team
- California Bar admission in good standing
