Position Title: Process Quality Supervisor
Department: Quality
Reports To: Quality Manager
Description:
The Process Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensuring manufacturing process quality, driving continuous improvement, and managing in-line quality control activities within the module production line. The role ensures product reliability, defect reduction, and compliance with internal and external standards.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control critical process parameters (lamination, stringing, EL, flash, etc.)
- Establish and maintain in-line inspection plans and SOPs
- Lead process audits and ensure compliance with quality systems
- Analyze yield loss and defect trends, and drive root cause analysis (RCA)
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Collaborate with Process Engineering, Production, and R&D teams
- Support failure analysis including DH, HF, and mechanical stress issues
- Ensure compliance with IEC 61215, UL 61730, and customer requirements
- Support internal and external audits
- Supervise quality inspectors and technicians
- Provide training and performance management
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and EHS policies
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 5+ years experience in manufacturing quality (PV preferred)
- 2+ years supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of PV module manufacturing processes
- Familiar with quality tools (PDCA, SPC, FMEA, 8D, MSA)
- Understanding of IEC/UL standards and ISO systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in MS Excel and email communication
