This 1st shift Quality Technician role runs from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, on the production floor. You inspect precision medical components to ensure they meet strict customer quality requirements and high standards of appearance and performance. You perform in-process and final inspections, verify dimensions, and confirm that every part leaving the facility meets tight tolerances and visual expectations.
Responsibilities
You join a team that takes pride in producing high-precision medical components that directly support patient care. The organization offers a stable daytime schedule with consistent hours, allowing for predictable work-life balance. You work in a structured environment with defined inspection areas and established processes, and you receive training on advanced inspection technologies such as CMM and vision systems. Safety and quality are core values, and you are supported with the tools and protective equipment needed to perform your work effectively.
Work Environment
You work on the production floor in designated inspection areas where jobs are brought to you, so you do not need to search for parts. Lot sizes vary, with some jobs consisting of around 500 pieces and others up to 2,000 pieces, and you are expected to remain engaged in inspection work throughout the entire shift. The role is performed on 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The environment is focused on precision and quality, with regular use of calipers, micrometers, gauges, microscopes, magnifiers, optical comparators, vision systems, Keyence equipment, and some CMM tools. You may sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift 20 pounds or more. The dress code requires footwear with leather uppers and non-slip soles; safety shoes are not required. Eye protection is mandatory, and safety glasses are provided, or you may wear your own prescription glasses if suitable.
