Company is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Quality Engineer, Prototyping to join its team.
In this role, you’ll help ensure that prototype parts, assemblies, and manufacturing processes meet high-quality standards throughout the design, fabrication, assembly, and inspection lifecycle. You’ll work cross-functionally with design engineering, fabrication, CNC, additive manufacturing, harness, assembly, and metrology teams to support quality processes and drive issue resolution in a fast-paced prototyping environment.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and experienced in manufacturing quality systems, inspection methodologies, and engineering documentation.

Bonus Qualifications Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience Process Improvement certification (Lean Six Sigma / Shainin) Knowledge about CMM programming, IPC 620 & ESD best practices
Daily tasks
The Quality Engineer in the Prototyping division of company , known as XOPS, will ensure that all processes that are conducted during the design, manufacturing, assembly, and inspection of parts follow company's high-quality standards. You will be assigned to the XOPS quality department and, as part of the daily routine in this role, you will interact with the different functional groups within XOPS, including Design Engineers, Fabrication, CNC, Additive Manufacturing, Harness, Assembly Technicians, and the Metrology group.

In This Role, You Will Review Jira tickets for accurate data quality Create balloon drawings and inspection report templates for inspection Review inspection documents and follow the approval process Follow the nonconformance process if issues are identified Maintain dashboards and provide weekly reports of progress for the inspection team

Qualifications
BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field 4 to 6 years of experience in quality/manufacturing Experience with Quality Management standard practices (and APQP as a bonus) Knowledge about GD&T Able to work with minimal supervision
