We are looking for a Mobility Project Engineer to support the development of next-generation planetary vehicles and space robotics systems. This is a highly cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of engineering, supplier management, integration, testing, and program execution.
You’ll work directly with multidisciplinary teams to help drive hardware from early concept and prototyping all the way through flight integration. If you enjoy fast-paced environments, high ownership, and solving complex engineering challenges, this could be a great fit.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own and coordinate flight hardware, prototypes, and ground support equipment (GSE)
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to manage fabrication, lead times, quality, and delivery schedules
- Support integration of mechanical and electrical systems including actuators, sensors, harnesses, converters, and power hardware
- Help plan and execute prototype builds and test campaigns
- Track project schedules, risks, budgets, and deliverables across multiple workstreams
- Collaborate across systems, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and test teams
- Support troubleshooting, hardware integration, and manufacturing activities during development
- Participate in technical reviews including PDRs, CDRs, and customer-facing meetings
- Contribute to improving internal engineering and manufacturing processes
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant engineering or project engineering experience
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary hardware projects with aggressive timelines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work directly with suppliers, engineers, and stakeholders
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Trello
- Familiarity with aerospace development environments and review processes
- Experience working with high-voltage or high-power electrical systems is highly desirable
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment
Nice to Have
- Aerospace or automotive hardware development experience
- Experience with flight hardware or space systems
- PMP or CAPM certification
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or engineering analysis tools
- Exposure to vibration, thermal vacuum, or environmental testing
- Startup or rapid development program experience
