Project Engineer

PCC's clients include New York State and City agencies such as the DOT, DEP, DDC, DPR, EDC, and SCA, among others.

Responsibilities

• 7–10 years of construction management experience.
• Experience managing mixed-use building projects.
• Strong knowledge of NYC DOB requirements and regulations.
• OSHA 62-Hour SST Card required.
• Ability to travel to assigned job sites.
• Manage daily construction operations, schedules, and subcontractors.
• Perform quality control and ensure compliance with building and safety codes.
• Identify and resolve construction conflicts and project issues.
• Maintain daily job site logs and monitor project progress.
• Walk job sites daily to oversee activities and assist with planning.
• Ensure job sites remain clean, organized, and safe.
• Track employee time, approve timecards, and manage work schedules.
• Price, negotiate, and manage subcontractor and vendor proposals.
• Provide progress updates regarding project costs and timelines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.
• Communicate using the following tools: telephone, fax machine, written logs, email, computer, digital camera.
• Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures.
• Monitoring job-site general health and safety.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
• Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
• Strong leadership, team building, and management skills
