Quality Control Manager – Structural Steel

Base Salary: $100,000–$130,000

We’re partnering with a top structural steel fabricator seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead site‑wide quality operations, champion continuous improvement, and serve as a key member of the plant leadership team.
CWI Required | ASNT VT Level II Required
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the Plant level quality program from start to finish
- Ensure compliance with AISC standards, customer specs, DOT requirements, and regulatory guidelines
- Lead and develop QC Inspectors and oversee welder certifications
- Partner closely with Production, Project Management, Engineers, and DOT Inspectors
- Prepare for and successfully pass AISC audits
- Oversee inspections including welds, dimensions, coatings, fasteners, and materials
- Manage internal and outsourced NDT programs, including Magnetic Particle Testing
- Maintain and update the Quality Control Manual
- Resolve quality issues quickly and professionally with customers and stakeholders
Required:
- Active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- ASNT VT Level II certification
- 5+ years leading a quality function in heavy manufacturing or structural steel
- Deep knowledge of welding, inspections, and quality documentation
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree (Quality, Engineering, Construction, or related)
- Bridge experience
