Prior experience in a metal forming environment required
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles County, CA.
In this role:
- Oversee quality control processes, manage quality assurance programs, and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Analyze production processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions to maintain and elevate product quality
- Lead and coordinate quality audits to verify compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality systems and procedures across manufacturing operations
- Oversee daily quality control activities, including inspections, testing, and validation processes to ensure product integrity
- Lead Quality Technicians by setting priorities and providing the support needed to ensure inspections are completed effectively
- Provide direct support to the Quality Manager or Director on key projects and organizational initiatives
- Ensure First Article Inspections (FAI) are consistently completed through effective planning and coordination
- Manage root cause analysis investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Conduct training sessions on quality assurance protocols and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with production teams to embed quality into workflows from raw materials through finished goods
- Prepare reports on quality metrics, audit findings, and compliance status for leadership review
- Lead internal and external audits to maintain certifications and identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Quality Management
- Analytical skills to identify and solve quality-related issues effectively
- Knowledge and experience in Food Science or a related field
- Proficiency in quality standards, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
- Ability to implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience in leading quality audits and training team members
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in a metal forming environment required
