About the Opportunity:
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support procurement operations during a large-scale ERP implementation. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multi-year system transformation while playing a critical role in maintaining day-to-day purchasing efficiency.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and has experience managing procurement processes from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage purchase orders end-to-end, from creation through delivery
Coordinate with vendors on pricing, timelines, and order status
Track and expedite orders to ensure timely fulfillment
Research vendors, products, and pricing to support purchasing decisions
Negotiate pricing and support cost containment initiatives
Resolve invoice discrepancies and order issues
Partner with internal teams to ensure operational continuity
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with procurement policies
Qualifications:
Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or vendor management
Strong ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously
Excellent communication and vendor negotiation skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Background:
Associate’s degree in Business or related field
Healthcare or hospital purchasing experience
