Adecco Creative and Marketing has partnered with an educational company to hire a PR Consultant.


This is a temporary, onsite 5 days/week assignment that pays $47-55/hr. You will work 9-5 EST.

This assignment ends 9/30/26. There is potential to extend or convert.


Job duties:

Public Relations & Media

  • Strong media relations experience with a clear understanding of today’s media landscape (national, trade, digital, and non‑traditional outlets)
  • Proven ability to pitch stories, manage reporter relationships, and execute proactive and reactive outreach
  • Experience supporting executive communications, including interview prep, briefings, and messaging
  • Comfort operating in high‑stakes, high‑visibility environments with demanding stakeholders

Strategy & Campaign Execution

  • Ability to independently plan and execute PR campaigns aligned to business, brand, and mission objectives
  • Experience contributing to integrated campaigns across PR, content, social, and brand marketing
  • Strong judgment in message development, prioritization, and tactical execution

Writing & Content Development

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across formats:
  • Press releases
  • Media pitches
  • Executive quotes and remarks
  • Thought leadership articles
  • Talking points and backgrounders
  • Ability to adapt tone and messaging for multiple audiences (media, executives, educators, policymakers, general public)

Education & Mission‑Driven Experience

  • Prior experience in education, assessment, policy, workforce, or mission‑driven organizations strongly preferred
  • Ability to translate complex or technical topics into clear, compelling narratives

Operational Excellence

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working in fast‑paced environments with tight deadlines and evolving priorities

Communication & Collaboration

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner effectively with senior leaders, internal teams, and external agencies
  • Proactive communicator who overcommunicates, flags risks early, and follows through consistently

Digital & AI Fluency

  • Familiarity with media monitoring platforms, social media tools, and content analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to responsibly leverage AI tools to support research, insights, and content development while maintaining quality and brand voice


Qualifications:

  • Seasoned public relations professional who can operate confidently and independently in a fast‑paced, high‑expectations environment.
  • Progressive PR or communications experience, with a strong foundation in both strategy and execution.
  • Strong writer who can draft polished press releases, media pitches, executive messaging, and thought leadership content with minimal editing.
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape
  • Excels at executive communications
  • Highly proactive and detail‑oriented
  • Experience in education or a mission‑driven environment. Agency experience and exposure to global or international communications are a strong plus.
  • Collaborative but self‑directed

This is a W2 position.
