Job Title: Capital Projects Scheduler

Location: North Chicago, IL

Hire Type: Contract (12+ months | Multi-Year Project)

Target Pay Rate: $60/hour (W2)

Must-Have Skills:

Experience supporting capital project scheduling

Experience working on capital projects valued at $100M+

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project (MS Project)

Experience managing schedules within compressed or accelerated project timelines


Job Summary:

Seeking a Capital Projects Scheduler to support large-scale capital engineering and construction initiatives at our client’s pharmaceutical manufacturing headquarters. This individual will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules for high-value capital projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting complex capital projects exceeding $100M in value and will be comfortable managing aggressive project timelines while collaborating with engineering, construction, and project management teams.


Job Duties:

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for large-scale capital projects

Track project milestones, critical paths, and schedule dependencies

Monitor schedule performance and identify risks or delays proactively

Support project teams with schedule updates, forecasting, and reporting

Coordinate with engineering, construction, and project management stakeholders to ensure project alignment

Assist with schedule recovery planning for compressed or accelerated timelines

Generate schedule reports and present project status updates to leadership as needed

Ensure scheduling best practices and project controls processes are followed throughout the project lifecycle


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field preferred

5+ years of experience in capital project scheduling or project controls

Experience supporting capital projects valued at $100M or greater required

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project (MS Project) required

Experience working within highly regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, or industrial environments preferred

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
