RATE: $40-54HR BASED ON EXPERIENCE
We are seeking a highly skilled Scheduling Technologist to serve as a technical resource for schedule development and management within the Global Project Methodology (GPM) and Global Turnaround Methodology (GTM) work processes. This role is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and reporting on integrated project and turnaround schedules to ensure alignment with baseline expectations and overall project strategy.
The ideal candidate brings advanced scheduling expertise, strong analytical capability, exceptional computer proficiency, and the ability to coordinate across diverse project teams. This role may also function as a working team lead, providing subject matter guidance and coordinating the work of others.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Schedule Management.
- Provide technical coaching and promote effective knowledge sharing across project and turnaround teams.
- Develop Schedule Management Plans for capital, expense, and turnaround projects.
- Build and maintain comprehensive Integrated Master Schedules, incorporating scope changes and delay impacts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform staffing density and staffing limitation checks to validate durations and ensure resource-leveling aligns with project strategy.
- Lead project teams in forecasting schedule challenges, offering data-driven analysis and recommending solutions for on-time completion.
- Utilize cost estimates to resource-load schedules, aligning schedule forecasts with project cost expectations and coordinating with cost management as needed.
- Conduct Critical Path Analysis to identify risks, constraints, and schedule bottlenecks.
- Evaluate project deviations to determine schedule impacts and support decision-making for recovery plans.
- Define and implement advanced Schedule Management solutions for capital projects, expense projects, and turnarounds.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the Schedule Work Process, including identifying cycle-time reduction opportunities.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Associate degree (Short‑Cycle Tertiary Degree) required.
- 3–5 years of experience in maintenance, manufacturing, project scheduling, or related operational environments.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Primavera experience preferred, but candidates with strong general computer competency will be considered.
- Helpful experience includes:
- Turnaround scheduling or support
- Job planning familiarity
- Exposure to project controls or cost/schedule integration
- Ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Work Schedule
- Standard schedule: 4/10s (four 10-hour days).
- During execution periods, schedule may shift to:
- 6/1 rotation, and/or
- 12-hour days, as needed to support project demands.
Site & Access Requirements
- TWIC site plan in place; TWIC card not required for this role.
- Standard background check, drug screen, and employment verification required.
