Job Title: Services Specialist

Job Description

The Services Specialist provides vital technology-specific support to Solution Architects and Sales by creating Pre Statements of Work (PSOW), managing and communicating project expectations. This role involves developing and maintaining effective working relationships with sellers, business partners, and the service delivery team, while providing insights into customer trends and market demands.

Responsibilities

  • Develop trusted partnerships with Solution Architects and Sales for Data Center Solutions support.
  • Be responsive to Solution Architects, Sales, and customers.
  • Facilitate training for sales teams.
  • Manage the peer review process for converged technology opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to management on industry trends and opportunities.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities, including conference calls, meetings, and emails.
  • Stay updated on relevant technology solutions through training and personal development.
  • Participate in team projects and miscellaneous team activities.
  • Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure accuracy of service opportunities.
  • Provide pre-sales services support for data center solutions opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Solution Architects, technical leads, and business partners.
  • Provide appropriate service solutions to support customers’ needs.
  • Communicate with customers to create and deliver polished SOWs and quotes.
  • Participate in internal and external kick-off meetings.
  • Become an expert on available and applicable data center solutions portfolio.
  • Facilitate and provide feedback on change order requests.

Essential Skills

  • Proven project management experience supporting large-scale data center or infrastructure initiatives.
  • Strong foundational understanding of server and storage technologies.
  • Experience in sales support, Statements of Work (SOWs), or pre-/post-sales project coordination.
  • Ability to handle large data sets effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical/data center knowledge.
  • Technical sales support experience.
  • Experience using Contract Management systems.
  • College education.
  • Technology industry experience.
  • Services (professional or managed) industry experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of SOW work.

Work Environment

This is a 100% remote position with working hours from 8 AM to 6 PM EST. The role requires high communication and accountability, supporting six different Solutions Architects. Overcommunication is necessary to ensure successful collaboration. Candidates must be able to work independently while maintaining productivity throughout the day.

This is a Contract position based out of Vernon Hills, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
