Akkodis is seeking a Project Manager / Project Coordinator with a client in Oakbrook Terrace IL 60181

for 12 months contract.

Title: Project Manager / Project Coordinator

Location: Oakbrook Terrace IL 60181

Duration: 12-month Contract (possible extension)

Pay Rate: $45-$50/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)


Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Project Manager / Project Coordinator to support large-scale utility projects. This role will work closely with multiple Project Managers, assisting in project execution, cost control, scheduling, and coordination activities within a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers in planning, execution, and delivery of utility projects
  • Assist with project tracking, reporting, and documentation
  • Manage and monitor project costs, forecasts, accruals, and budgets
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment
  • Maintain project schedules and timelines using tools like MS Project or similar
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership updates
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail across all project deliverables
  • Utilize tools such as SAP, Asset Suite 8, SharePoint, Power BI, or Oracle as needed


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 1–5 years of experience supporting Project Managers or in a Project Coordination role
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with project/cost control and reporting
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Positive, proactive, and “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment supporting multiple stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in utility or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with Asset Suite 8, SAP, Power BI, SharePoint, or Oracle
  • Technical degree or related educational background
