Job Title: Production Supervisor (Injection Molding)

Salary Range: $80-88k plus OT after 45 hours

Shift: day shift (4:30am-2:30pm)

  • sometimes 2:30am start up is required
  • Mon-Fri with OT as needed
  • full-time, direct hire

Location: Chattanooga, TN

Reports to: Injection Department Manager

Industry: automotive manufacturing, injection molded plastics


Summary:

Manage injection molding department KPIs and main deliverables including a team of 30+/- associates. Ensure customer expectations are met in terms of on time delivery, and automotive injection-molded exteriors product quality. Develop a team in injection molding production, which will provide a consistently high quality product in an efficient manner. Responsible for managing the following KPIs: Safety, Scrap, Consumption, OEE, etc.


Activities

  • Responsible for safety, quality, cost and delivery of assigned shift
  • Responsible to lead team and promote teamwork to achieve objectives
  • Closely monitor quality levels and root cause; correcting any non-conformances
  • Maintain processes per the process control plans and ensure associates are following the standards
  • Supervise production associates
  • Consistently apply policies and procedures
  • Develop, Implement, and evaluate continuous improvement plans
  • Continually work to understand the customer’s requirements in terms of quality and delivery
  • Provide feedback to Injection Area Manager about any quality or production concerns
  • Develop all associates into cross-trained, high performing team members
  • Control Training Plan completion


Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience in automotive injection molded parts production to include technical leadership and supervision; must have solid understanding of injection molding press operation, processing, and injection molded part quality standards
  • Ability to deploy structured problem-solving processes in injection molding department
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills, strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively motivate and hold-accountable a team of 30 skilled associates and technicians
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must be a team player, flexible, and have good communication skills
