*Mandarin speaking* Production Process Engineer
Department: Manufacturing
Reports to: Injection Molding Supervisor and Deputy Production Manager
Summary/Objective:
The Molding and Assembly Process Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, controlling and optimizing industrial processes within the Injection Molding program. The Process Engineer ensures that the process runs smoothly and efficiently while meeting quality standards and regulatory requirements. The main responsibility of Process Engineer includes debugging of molded parts in the early stages. Their responsibilities include maintaining quality control of components, debugging and troubleshooting, showing satisfactory completion of task indicators, and enhancing team-work and business functions.
Essential Duties:
1. Conducting research to develop new and improved processes for Injection Molding and Assembly
2. Promoting a safe work environment and preventing injuries through the use of, but not limited to, 6S, job rotation, and ergonomic work practices.
3. Developing methods for separating components
4. Designing and planning equipment layout
5. Conducting tests and monitoring process performance throughout the production
6. Following all IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures.
7. Daily mold changes and start-ups
8. Adhering to company policies and regulations
9. Conducting process documentation of molds in the early stages
10. Balancing quality, productivity, cost, and safety to achieve positive results in all areas. They must work to continuously improve all areas.
11. Responsible for processing all non-conforming parts and products to ensure accurate inventory accounts within their department.
12. Interfacing with Quality Department on Corrective and Preventive actions for customer complaints and internal quality issues.
13. Continuously analyze the assigned area of responsibility for improved methods of production, communication, reporting, cost controls, and make recommendations to the appropriate departments to maximize efficiency.
14. Conducting daily production meetings
15. Ensuring that first shot approval is obtained from Quality Inspectors
16. Documenting all problems and process changes and providing action plans with supervisor.
17. Daily communication with various departments and all levels of management through email, telephone, and face-to-face communication.
18. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, mechanical, or related
2. 5 years’ experience in management manufacturing
3. Strong leadership skills
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Strong data analysis and problem solving skills
6. Good interpersonal skills
7. Knowledge of product manufacturing process
8. Strong computer skills with MS Office knowledge
9. Experience using SAP and MES software
10. Basic understanding of OSHA standards
11. Fluency in Mandarin-Chinese and English
Preferred Qualifications-Not Required
1. 2-3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing setting
2. Flexible to adapt to changes in scheduling, able to handle high-stress decision making scenarios.
