Plan and assist with the daily activities of production
Manage weekly schedule for personnel, which requires verifying shop folders created by the order processing group (OPG)
Daily review of shop schedule to ensure we are meeting our acknowledged commitment to customers.
Daily review of shop schedule and coordination with Purchasing to ensure delivery of materials are on schedule to the agreed delivery date
Approve timecards for floor personnel and verify in P21 MRP System.
Coordinate shipping schedule weekly with the packaging group supervisor
Recommend process improvements where needed
Attend project kick-off meetings for all fluid systems jobs
Coordinate with engineering when problems arise in conjunction with the production supervisors, including sending pictures and requesting drawing modifications. this is not a primary function; however, it may be required.
Track production efficiency, on-time delivery, and other production metrics as needed
Ensure shop equipment is maintained and working properly, not a primary function. Outlook reminder to assist floor supervisor.
Provide staffing and scheduling data upon request
Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work area
Ensure production and safety goals are met
Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Some secondary education, training, or certification in a mechanical field is preferred
Experience in an ISO environment is preferred
Experience in Lean Manufacturing Processes
Experience scheduling and coordinating production workflow activities
Experience utilizing computers and MS Office software
