Job Title: Production Associate ($20.00/hr.) (1st Shift)

Job Description

The Production Associate supports day-to-day manufacturing operations by handling chemicals, performing light assembly and packaging tasks, and operating production equipment. This role stores, retrieves, mixes, and monitors chemicals used in the production process, records key production data, and helps ensure products meet quality and safety standards. The position works closely with team members to keep production running efficiently and on schedule. Must be comfortable working 10 hour shifts. Responsibilities

  • Store, retrieve, mix, and monitor chemicals used in the production process according to established procedures.
  • Record detailed production information, including ingredients, weights, temperatures, and other key data, and accurately enter this information into the computer system or database.
  • Troubleshoot basic issues with production equipment and processes, and escalate more complex problems to the appropriate personnel.
  • Observe and follow all company, local, state, and federal safety and quality regulations at all times.
  • Follow warehouse and production safety guidelines and promptly report any accidents, safety violations, or other concerns.
  • Assist in planning and improving production processes and product quality by providing feedback and suggestions.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely completion of production schedules and customer orders.
  • Perform some light assembly work as required to support the production line.
  • Pick parts and products for orders, organize items ordered by customers, and prepare them for shipment.
  • Operate equipment to collect, move, deliver, and package goods safely and efficiently.
  • Use RF scan guns or similar tools to support warehouse inventory activities, labeling, and tracking.
  • Load and unload materials and products as needed to support production and shipping operations.
  • Perform general production and packaging tasks, including labeling, packing, and machine operation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned to support overall production and warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in a production, warehouse, or similar environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs repetitively throughout the shift.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to log production numbers and enter data accurately.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions related to chemical mixing, machine operation, and safety procedures.
  • Comfort working with production and packaging equipment and learning machine operation tasks.
  • Attention to detail when measuring, weighing, and recording ingredients and batch information.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work assigned shifts, including training on first shift and then transitioning to third shift.
  • Ability and willingness to wear steel toe boots as required for the role.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience with weight or batch mixing in a manufacturing or chemical environment.
  • Experience with labeling and packaging products in a production or warehouse setting.
  • Experience operating tow motors or similar material-handling equipment.
  • Experience using RF scan guns for warehouse inventory, picking, and tracking.
  • in general production work, including loading, unloading, and machine operation.
  • Experience as a batch mixer, chemical mixer, or general production worker in a related industry.
  • Ability to learn and operate various types of production and packaging machinery.
  • Strong organizational skills for picking, staging, and preparing customer orders for shipment.

Work Environment

The facility is extremely well kept, clean, and well lit, providing a comfortable and organized setting for daily work. It is a newer facility that houses operations moved from an older location, reflecting recent investment in the workspace. Temperatures can be warmer in the summer and cooler in the winter when bay doors are open, but conditions remain within a typical range for a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Initial training takes place on first shift for approximately one month, with a schedule of 5:30 AM to 6:15 PM, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, depending on preference. After training, the role transitions to third shift, working 10:15 PM to 6:45 AM from Sunday night through Friday morning, with an additional shift differential for working nights. Standard hours may also include an 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, and during busy seasons the operation may move to four 10-hour shifts, with additional production run on Fridays as needed. The workday includes two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute lunch. Steel toe boots are required on the production floor, and employees receive uniforms early in their employment to maintain a consistent and safe dress code.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
