Summary
We are seeking a Production Associate to join our growing design and production team. This role is a critical bridge between hands-on production and project leadership and is designed for experienced drafting professionals who are ready to take the next step into project management, mentoring, and workflow leadership.
As a Production Associate, you’ll work under the direct stewardship of a Production Manager and serve as a key resource for managing time-intensive design, drafting, and modeling efforts across assigned accounts and projects. This position offers the first formal opportunity to participate in managing projects, people, and production workflows, making it an ideal role for those looking to grow into leadership.
What You’ll Do
Account Care & Production Oversight
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day drafting and modeling needs across assigned accounts
- Partner with Production Managers and Project Managers to forecast and meet weekly production goals
- Review construction documents for quality, accuracy, and adherence to company standards
- Provide feedback and coaching opportunities to Designers to support continuous improvement
Drafting, Design & Plan Development
- Prepare high-quality Construction Documents under management direction
- Support advanced design efforts as assigned
- Identify and escalate scope or content changes to the Project Manager
- Contribute to product and process development through collaborative team efforts
Project Tracking & Communication
- Maintain accurate logs of work performed
- Track time, workload, and project status to support efficient workflows
- Utilize project tracking software effectively
- Communicate clearly and consistently with Project Managers and leadership regarding project status
- Escalate pricing-related questions (outside of repeat work) to the Project Manager
Team Leadership, Mentorship & Training
- Mentor and train Designers on software tools, client standards, and best practices
- Support skill development and performance growth across the team
- Assist management in assigning and reviewing production work for Designers and Specialists
Operational Excellence
- Use available resources efficiently and effectively
- Support team priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred
- 3–5 years of professional drafting experience
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or discipline-specific design software
- Strong experience preparing Construction Documents
- Working knowledge of construction techniques and applicable building codes
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
