A global manufacturing company is seeking a Production Analyst to support plant operations and ensure accurate, timely flow of production data. This role partners cross-functionally with operations, quality, finance, and project teams to improve reporting, order management, and production efficiency. This is a 90-day contract-to-hire opportunity based in the northern Chicago suburbs (Libertyville area).
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze plant production data to support operational decision-making
- Release, review, and update production orders to maintain workflow accuracy
- Support operations during peak fulfillment periods to help meet financial targets
- Develop and generate reports related to manufacturing orders and production status
- Build tools and reporting enhancements to improve production efficiency
- Coordinate with manufacturing partners to support product delivery timelines
- Compile and present weekly (or as-needed) production progress updates
- Act as a point of contact for sales-related production inquiries and shipping support
- Track and manage delivery orders, spare inventory, and returns/credits
- Maintain and update reporting systems and documentation across internal platforms
Qualifications
- Experience in production, manufacturing, or operations analysis
- Strong Excel and reporting skills; experience with data tracking and dashboards
- Familiarity with ERP systems preferred
- Ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and process improvement
- Experience supporting inventory tracking and order management processes
Work Setup/Location
Onsite in the Libertyville area; temp-to-perm structure (approx. 90 days). Salary after it goes perm is 48-55K depending on experience.
