Product Owner Job Description
1. Product and Project Management & Execution
- Plan, Design, and Document: Create and maintain comprehensive project plans including scope, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and dashboards. Create and continually improve wireframes based on internal and external feedback.
- Resource Coordination: Direct and coordinate activities for team members to ensure project goals are hit on time.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal engineering and product teams to adapt workflows, improving efficiency, speed, and quality.
2. Client Strategy & Onsite Operations
- Onsite Presence: Attend strategy meetings and support the client directly during implementation (requires up to 25% travel).
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the go-to expert on Thinaer’s hardware installation, software, workflows, and troubleshooting.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose, isolate, and resolve technical deployment and software issues onsite to minimize client downtime.
- Growth Driving: Push for project expansion and ensure onsite deployments remain strictly on schedule.
3. Communication & Reporting
- Status Updates: Keep the Project Management team and cross-functional departments aligned on project status and requirements.
- Problem Solving: Autonomously manage multiple tasks, priorities, and client hurdles in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Product Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years of previous project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (from conception to completion).
- Client-Facing Skills: Proven client-facing experience is a must, with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external clients.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to read, interpret, and leverage complex technical documentation.
- API Proficiency: Hands-on ability to operate and interact with REST APIs for data verification, testing, or integration purposes.
- UI/UX Design Experience: Ability to take in requirements and design easy to use UIs for customers.
- Travel: Ability to travel locally and nationally up to 25% (travel can fluctuate throughout the year).
- Software & Tooling: High degree of proficiency in MS Office and internet applications.
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and planning skills.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning.
- Execution: Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
