Required Skills & Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Chemistry, or a related life sciences field
-5 years of Product Management Experience
-Minimum of 2+ years of Product Management experience within Life Sciences consumables
-Experience with product training and employee training
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
-Ability to develop pricing strategies, financial models, and P&L analyses
-Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills
-Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
-Ability to come onsite for in person meetings as needed
-Working knowledge of ERP systems, sales databases, and social networking platforms
-Experience collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams
-Ability to interpret market data, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence
Day to day:
A biotechnology manufacturer in San Diego, CA is seeking a Product Manager to lead product strategy, training, pricing, and lifecycle management across a portfolio of life sciences consumables. This role serves as the internal technical expert and works cross‑functionally with sales, marketing, engineering, and leadership to drive profitable growth and successful product execution.
-Develop and maintain strategic product positioning across all clients product lines, including Filter Vials, Optimum Growth & Ultra Yield flasks and accessories, Well Plates, Filter Plates, and general consumables
-Author annual product line guides outlining features, benefits, strategic positioning, and competitive intelligence
-Create and manage 3‑year product plans, including growth strategy, pricing strategy, P&L ownership, and financial models
-Own the full product lifecycle from conception and development through launch, feedback, and obsolescence
-Translate customer needs and market insights into technical requirements and product charters for engineering teams
-Execute pricing strategy and margin review; submit product descriptions and pricing files to customers and dealers
Monitor market trends and competitive threats to ensure ongoing relevance of product offerings
-Identify, evaluate, and recommend obsolescence of low- or no-demand products
-Ensure alignment between product strategy and overall TIC business strategy
-Support national sales meetings, sales/marketing initiatives, and distributor engagement as needed
Compensation:
$120,000 to $130,000 annual base salary + full benefits, 401k matching, and PTO
